Once again our speech and language editor Anne Ayre has been invited to write an education article for ABC Magazine!

Getting children Ready for Reading and Writing - The first five years of life are particularly important for the development of literacy and parents play a key role. By talking, singing, reading, and playing with your very young child you are providing the foundation for the successful development of communication and literacy skills. There are lots of fun activities to enjoy with your child that do not directly involve reading and writing. Parents can be the best teachers of early literacy if they make it fun.
